Iphone 12 pro and caemra upgrades

Whether or not you plan to get an iPhone 12 pro, you probably know that apple’s cameras define the industry at this point. Regardless of what you hear from others about its competitors. The truth remains that most professional working photographers shoot on iPhone. Today we’re going to review the iPhone 12 pro camera and see if it’s worth the upgrade.

Why iPhone 12 pro can be interesting?

The iPhone 12 pro is one of the best 2020 Apple’s smartphone lineup.  Featuring a 6.1-inch OLED hdr10 display, 6gb RAM and the A14 bionic chipset. Available at 1 279€ on Amazon.

1) iPhone 12 pro cameras:

From 2017 to the end of 2019, I was a user of Apple’s smartphone products. I tried two of its Phones (the iPhone 5s and iPhone 7) which allowed me to improve my mobile photography skills back then. I’ll never forget my experience with those two phones and today we are going to talk about the iPhone 12 pro camera characteristics.

1.1) For the rear camera specifications:
  • Primary: 12 MP sensor (1.4 micron photo sites), 26 mm-equivalent f/1.6-aperture lens, PDAF, OIS;
  • Ultra-wide: 12 MP 1/3.6″ sensor, 13 mm-equivalent (14mm measured) f/2.4-aperture lens;
  • Tele: 12 MP 1/3.4″ sensor, 52 mm-equivalent f/2.0-aperture lens, PDAF, OIS ;
  • LiDAR depth sensing;
  • Dual-LED flash;
  • 4K Dolby Vision HDRvideo at 24/30/60 fps.
1.2) For the front/selfie camera specifications:
  • Dual front camera;
  • 12 MP 1/3.6-inch sensor with 23 mm-equivalent f/2.2-aperturelens;
  • SL 3D sensor for depth estimation;
  • 4K 2160p Dolby Vision HDRvideo at 24/30/60 fps, 1080p at up to 120 fps, gyro-EIS.

1.3) Deep fusion feature

The new smart HDR and its deep fusion, enabled the iPhone 12 pro to be one of the most powerful cameras that exist now on the market. This technology is on the rear three cameras and the front facing camera too.

Deep fusion exceptional machine learning enables some noticeable pixel by pixel manipulation of photos. This new feature helps in the noise reduction and makes details like the shadows of the rocks or trees look more detailed and crisper.

2) The verdict:

At first glance, the iPhone 12 Pro doesn’t stand out disproportionately in its lineup. With the same dimensions and the same set of chips as the iPhone 12, it is easy to wonder if the Pro is worth it, especially when there is the iPhone 12 Pro Max, with a better camera sensor. and longer battery life.

There are a few useful improvements including the camera and the move to 128GB of storage in the cheaper model. It is also available in more subdued, more elegant-looking colors. It’s definitely the most advanced iPhone out there, but it’s hard not to encourage you to embrace the 12 Pro Max if you’re looking for the best iPhone.
